Long Time No Crafty!
I’ve had this side table for a while now and it doesn’t have a top. I got it on clearance at Hobby Lobby for $19.99. SWEET!! Until we stepped out the store to the parking lot and BANG! The glass top came off, fell and broke.

It’s About Time!
I finally came up with an idea to revive this beauty! This project is pretty straight forward and below is what I used to put this together:
- Tray
- Magnets
- Super Glue
- Pencil
So I planned my trip to Home Goods to look for a perfect item as a table top. My ideas for the top includes a tray, chopping board (specifically bamboo) or some kind of wooden frame with some quotes in it. And I found the perfect tray to use 🙂

Let’s Get Started.
- Mark of the bottom of the tray where I need to glue the magnets.
- Glue the magnets and let it dry.
- mount the tray on top of the stand.

A few things…
Why magnets? The tray I got has a mirror surface. I don’t want to risk drilling the bottom and break it. I actually stacked two magnets on each corner so it has enough height. Also I can still change my mind later if I find something better for the top ?
Lastly, I added shelf liner on top pf the mirror. I have a toddler so some heavy and sharp items might just magically land on the mirror and break it 😀
AND HERE IT IS!!!
